Hawaii 1997 - Thanksgiving in Paradise




This is the story of my trip to Hawaii for Thanksgiving. It all started a few months ago when my long time friend and drinking buddy Denise decided to leave the South Bay for Hawaii. She works for Nike and had the opportunity to work on opening the new huge Nike Town in Honolulu. She moved away from LA and all her friends so we decided to pay her a visit over Thanksgiving weekend.

For the last few years I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for groups of friends whose families aren't in LA. This year Denise suggested we take the show on the road and cook turkey on the beaches of Hawaii. We all loved the idea and before you knew it 11 of us had plane tickets to visit Denise for the long weekend.

It was an amazing time thanks to our wonderful hostess Denise. She greeted us at the airport with Leis and had already done all of the shopping for the big meal. The dinner turned out great, as did the rest of the weekend. Thanks again Denise for an amazing time!
